Artist Background

Anson Holzer began his study of ink-work with calligraphy in Taipei at Wen Hwa University in 1997.  He completed his BA degree in the Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 2001.  His works have been shown and sold throughout the United States and abroad.  

As of start of 2008, Anson has completed sale of over 225 large canvas works (direct sales beginning in late 2005). Referrals and works by commission currently represent a large portion of business. * Please see Events or Contact for information on viewing and purchasing.

Artwork

Composed primarily in various types of permanent ink, these works are designed to create an ambient and calm atmosphere.   Uncomplicated in concept, yet elaborate in design, they bridge the worlds of real and abstract.  Anson's techniques of canvas-working are self-taught, and are very unique.  Collectors will not find works by other artists that are created in these innovative ways.

All works are created with archival-quality media – guaranteed to last.  All canvases are fully signed, labeled and dated.  All canvases are gallery-wrapped (1.5 inch or wider, sans visible staples; no immediate need for framing).
